Disruptions to traffic to cover the Ronda de Dalt in the Vall d’Hebron

Work to cover the Ronda de Dalt ring road between the Mercat de la Vall d’Hebron and the Institut Vall d’Hebron start on 21 July and will go on until 11 September 2017. In order to carry out the work, the road will be reduced from three lanes to two in each direction along the stretch between Sant Genís dels Agudells and La Teixonera during the summer.

Disruptions to traffic due to the work to cover the Ronda de Dalt between the neighbourhoods of Sant Genís dels Agudells and La Teixonera start this week. One lane in each direction will be closed to traffic between exits 5 and 6.

Work to cover the ring road starts on 21 July and is due to conclude on 11 September. In order to carry out the work, one lane in each direction needs to be closed. In other words, the road will be reduced from three lanes to two in each direction during the summer, the time needed to build the foundations for the supporting wall.

The work is being done to cover the road along the section between the Mercat de la Vall d’Hebron and the Institut Vall d’Heborn, as well as remodelling the side lanes. During this term of office, 15 million euros will be invested in the project. This first section corresponds to a 180 metre section in front of the Mercat de la Vall d’Hebron running from the bridge in Av. Jordà.

In January 2018 work is due to start on the side walls for the same section, although it won’t be necessary to close traffic lanes for this stage of the work. The projects to cover the entire Ronda de Dalt ring road, setting out costs and calendar, have already been drafted and are to be evaluated with local residents to determine which stages can be executed and when.
